The Difference Between Share Hosting, VPS and Dedicated Server

Shared Hosting is a web hosting service where a customer uses a shared resource system – the same as other customers, so you have to share these resources together – together. Lack of shared hosting is the possibility of hosting service interruption due to any one user to use excessive system resources.

What is meant by resource system is a webhosting system, consisting of an e-mail services, web services, databases, etc… It could be a resource system using only one server only, but it could be two or more (such as database or mail server separate from the web server).
VPS is a server with a large resource which is divided – divided into several virtual servers. Parameters shared resource is CPU time, RAM, and storage capacity (storage). The advantages of VPS are each VPS packages are strictly limited resources. So that if one VPS packages using high system resources, this is will not interfere with other VPS packages – although there are in the main server. VPS master server usually uses dual or even quad processors with 4GB of RAM on top. VPS generally far superior performance and resistance to load when compared to dedicated servers with low specifications such as Celeron.
Another advantage, usually VPS provider using snapshot backup method so that all files in the VPS (including the file – the file operating system) including back-up perfectly.

While dedicated servers are servers that we rent for our own use (without the split). Usually the cost is more expensive because a dedicated server is a separate physical server, not virtual. Actually there are many advantages using their own dedicated server because we can get a custom server in accordance with our needs.

But if we still lay on the operating system used (e.g. Linux), it is better we use it VPS. Because VPS providers is usually helps us to manage our server (Managed Service).
